Effective January 1, 2011, computers, monitors, and TVs are banned from disposal in West Virginia Landfills.

Brooke County residents are able to recycle computers, monitors, and TVs at the Brooke County Recycling Center in Beech Bottom, WV, (at the old Windsor Coal Property) M-F from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

The BCSWA awarded two new grants!

  • $10,000.00 FY 2012 Solid Waste Management Board Grant for Recycling Truck Maintenance and Transportation of Recyclables,

  • $11,840.00 FY 2102 West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection REAP Covered Electronic Devices Recycling Grant for advertisement and labor wages for the ongoing CED collection program.

  • Thanks to a FY 2011 West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection REAP Covered Electronic Devices Recycling Grant, the BCSWA gets a new website!

The BCSWA offers on-going Electronic Recycling Program!

  • Brooke County Residents are able to bring covered electronic devices such as computers and tv’s to the Brooke County Recycling Center (BCRC) in Beech Bottom, WV, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.  As of July 2011 the BCRC has collected over 14 tons of covered electronic devices!
